Perspectives in our material world

Curated by industrial designer Konstantin Grcic, the Serpentine Gallery recently held its first contemporary design exhibition with a focus on real, mass produced items with everyday functionality - encouraging new insights into everyday design.

Held “just for a moment” outside their context, says Grcic.

The one common denominator for the pieces selected for the display: they came onto the market not more than ten years ago.
